With school around the corner, I would love to offer a glimpse into some of the centers I have been making over the summer!
I definitely hit up the Dollar Tree for TONS of inexpensive supplies! Most of these can be stored in ziploc baggies or file folders for easy storage.
Here are two different ways I prepared some DIY alphabet manipulatives:
I cut out the labels on tons of our cereal boxes and those sorts of packages. I especially love the letters from the Cheerios, Rice Krispies, and Premium saltine crackers because they are easy to read and the perfect size! I used my alphabet line to help lay them out and get them all organized!
Then I purchased some alphabet stickers and stuck them to milk caps for another versatile manipulative!
Here are some simple math centers for the beginning of the year:
From the Dollar Tree, I purchased these cute cupcake cutouts and pompoms. I used a sharpie to mark numerals and dots for “sprinkles” on the cupcakes. Another easy center for the first part of the year!
I also purchased the pencil-star cutouts from Dollar Tree, and I pasted ten frames on the pencil cutouts and numerals on the stars for matching.
With the popsicle sticks from Dollar Tree, I used various colored markers to create patterns that students can match.
These printable apple-themed math centers are perfect for back-to-school and fall unit studies. There are several print-and-go math activities if you running short on time!
This is one of my favorite printables for Kindergarten geometry math work! It is so versatile! Students love playing Memory matching games!
This is another fun matching center for 2d and 3d shapes!
You can also mix things up by adding in your pattern blocks or 3d manipulatives for students to sort!
I also purchased the colored foam sheets from Dollar Tree and made this touchpoint activity. Students just roll the dice and then place buttons (or pompoms) on the touchpoints for that number.
I created an ice cream sprinkle file folder activity (which I still need to add to my TpT store)! Using colorful dry erase markers, students just draw the correct number of sprinkles!
Great for fall semester units, this farm printable pack includes lots of activities for centers, including math, literacy, and word work stations!
I hope you found some ideas that might work for you! I will add more as I finish them. If you have any questions or any ideas to add, please feel free to do so in the comments! Have a great year!
