I mentioned last week that we are getting our daughter just ONE toy for Christmas this year, and I’m here to tell you that it is a KidKraft Majestic Dollhouse! This huge, classic, wooden dollhouse has amazing reviews and grows with your child!
Originally, I began looking at the Fisher-Price Loving Family Dollhouses, then I ran across all of the fabulous options from KidKraft. There are so many choices, and they come with furniture and accessories. There are so many awesome details in each one. Some have elevators. Some have sound. Some have chandeliers. There are a variety of color schemes.
Here were my criteria:
First and foremost, great reviews were a must. I wanted more than four rooms. Then, I was looking for a classic color scheme and beautiful, unique details.
The KidKraft Majestic Mansion had everything. A staircase. An elevator. Eight rooms. Two bedrooms. Garage. 35 pieces of furniture and accessories.

In a very, very close second was the KidKraft Savannah Dollhouse. Six rooms. Two patios. A staircase. Two bedrooms. 14 pieces of furniture. And, an adorable swing! I love that swing.

Well, today Amazon has their dollhouses marked down, so I ordered the Majestic Dollhouse! It is a little bit more expensive than the Savannah, but well worth it in my opinion. And just for comparison, the plastic dollhouses cost about the same as these nice wooden ones! I like the look of the Savannah more, and I like the swing, but I was sold by having more rooms, an elevator, and more furniture!
As far as dolls go, these dollhouses will accommodate up to a 12″ (Barbie) size. Or, you can order some of the Fisher-Price Loving Family dolls, or just use any that you already have!
Here are a couple of others I considered:
|KidKraft Annabelle Dollhouse|
|KidKraft Chelsea Cottage (smaller and less expensive)|
There are so many different styles to choose from, I’m sure you will find the perfect classic dollhouse to grow with your little girl!
