This weekend we ventured out to the Devil’s Backbone, an open space and rock formation in Loveland, Colorado. You can hike up to the keyhole, which is pictured below. With the sun setting over the mountains, the views of the valleys and red rocks are absolutely breathtaking. While the trail is a bit bumpy from the rocks, it is an easy 2.5 mile loop, with the keyhole being the highest point of elevation. The red soil and rocks offered a simple, yet stunning, change of scenery. This is also a dog-friendly trail. We will definitely be going back!
