Just a couple of months ago we were sitting by Bear Lake and watching the leaves change…
Now, as December is coming to an end, Bear Lake has transformed to a beautiful winter wonderland! A frozen lake covered in snow. Waterfalls frozen like glass. Hiking trails requiring snowshoes.
This is a fun and easy hike for people of all ages, with the total distance around the lake only .5 mile! There are several benches and boulders along the trail, which make it great for leisure (and de-stressing)!
If you’re feeling more energetic, the Bear Lake trailhead offers access to some of the most beautiful hikes (in my opinion) in Rocky Mountain National Park!
