After making the number magnets last week, I wanted to use the remaining magnets for another project! When my daughter and I were coloring one day, I got the idea to make symmetrical little magnet creatures that she could use for “matching.” So, we made three of her favorite things: a ladybug, butterfly, and owl! After priming the magnet with white paint, I traced circles onto two of the magnets and drew and butterfly on the third. I painted and traced with a black permanent marker. After they dried, I lightly painted a clear coat on top! By cutting them down the middle, you instantly have your very own simple matching activity! So easy and tons of fun for little ones!
